"Don't stay up for me!" Tifa shouted, waving to her aunt and uncle. She ran down her front steps and walked up to Aeris' truck. It seemed to growl at her as she opened the creaky door. "Sorry," she said, hopping in. "Guardians were bothering me about my curfew." She snapped in her seatbelt and smiled at her friend. Safety first! "But all ready! Did you bring your bathing suit?" Tifa held up hers, a two-piece of solid white with a buckle on the front of the top and a medium-link belt on the bottom.
"Of course." Aeris pulled hers from the glove compartment, having nowhere else to store it. Once dirt from an old flower pot fell from it, it was a simple pink bikini, modest and revealing at the same time. She shoved it back into the compartment. "Now, buckle up. We have to pick up Sora, and I want to be on time." She revved the engine, and it whined pitifully. Aeris groaned. She hoped Gippal and Rikku could fix it.
Tifa dug her hand into her purse and pulled out a thick black square. "I also brought my CD collection so we can show them what real music is," she said, smiling again. "And we're picking up Sora?! YAY!" She put the CD collection back into her purse before settling back in the truck. It was a beautiful night tonight. "Cloud better show up...Loser.."
((OOC: DD: Are you here yet?))
Aeris halted the truck in front of another house. "According to the address Sora gave me, this is the place." She honked the horn, which gave a lackluster yelp. "Come on, Sora!" she called out of the window. "We're already late!" That and she had no idea how much longer the pickup could remain running.
The horn sounded like it was dying, but Sora could care less. He flew down his apartment stairs, already dressed in his garish swim trunks, and more than happy to escape the Evil otherwise known as his father. "I know!" he shouted back to Aeris, skidding around a turn and catching sight of her through the open window. He grinned, waving quickly at both her and Tifa before hopping into the back."All right," he gasped, as he settled down into the truck bed, snug between large bags of fertilizer - as Aeris promised, he thought with a grin. "I'm in!" he cheered, "Now let's RIDE!"
Miraculously, the trio made it to the party in the pick-up. Already, the house was bustling with people and booming with music. "Damn," Tifa commented, "people sure like to party at Lifestream." Once Aeris killed the engine, Tifa hopped out of the car, carrying her bag with her. She then peeked into the back, seeing Sora. "We made it alive!" she said happily, holding her hand out to help him out of the truck.
"Thankfully," Sora agreed, laughing. He took her hand and happily jumped out of the truck bed. Despite the near constant wind of travel, it had taken him a little while to get used to the pungent scent of the fertlizer, and he knew that he must smell. Grinning at Tifa, he let her hand go once his feet hit solid ground, and said, "Thanks for the ride, Aeris, Tifa! I'm gonna head in! I'll see you around!"Then he zipped away, intent on jumping into the pool, first chance he got; then, he thought with a little gleeful cackle, it'd be Riku-hunting time!
Garnet let out the nth sigh for that minute, her hand clenching around her cellphone tightly. She shivered for a moment as a cold breeze blew over her and she rubbed her arms in an effort to warm herself up. She glanced up at the front door of Tidus's house, leaning back against the rough bark ofthe nearby tree. Why didn't she bring her coat again? To call or not to call. That was the question running in her mind that moment. It was whether to call her bodyguards to pick her up right there in front of Tidus's house and bring her home or not. After all, she couldn't find anything else to do nor anyone else to talk to. But as she started to decide on that issue, a loud engine sound startled her out of her wits and she looked around, wondering what caused that. She then found Tifa and Sora clambering down from a pick-up truck with another girl. Must be Tifa's friend. She smiled towards their direction and raised a hand to wave. "Hi, Tifa!" She also smiled warmly at the other girl, hoping that she'd smile back. "Hi, I'm Garnet."
