Who: Terra, Zidane and SoraWhere: Terra's AppartmentWhen: Thursday Night, about 8:00What: The three have all planned a study night for Algebra, or that is the intention, expect distractionsA buzzer ran through Terra's tiny appartment as she ran to the oven to pull out her cookies. "Ow!" Terra exclaimed as she touched the pan. It would appear she was in such a rush she had forgotten to put on gloves, which she proceeded to do. She removed the tray from the oven to let the chocolate chip cookies cool. It was Thursday night and Terra was looking forward to seeing Sora and Zidane for the study group they had planned, not just as means to push forward her marks but also to visit with her friends. She had the table ready and the cookies set, so she sat down waiting. She glanced at the clock, it read 7:52...
Zidane had never tutored anyone before, but Sora had seemed so helpless when it came to algebra that he couldn't say no. Besides, he was looking forward to spending time with his new friends, not to mention helping their school marks improve. As Zidane adjusted his backpack, he knocked on the door to the apartment, thinking to himself. I hope I'm not late..
Terra could hear a knocking at her door, she looked up at the clock it read "7:59". She ran to the door and opened it to see Zidane. "Hello Zidane! You're just on time" she said as she showed him in. "Sorry it's so small, Sora should be here soon, but he can be late often... So maybe we can watch T.V.?" She said inviting him to the couch...
"Sounds good!" He dropped his backpack beside the couch with a thunk, and sat down. Looking around the apartment, he smiled. "I don't mind the size." Zidane looked at Terra as he nestled into the couch with a relaxed sigh. "It's nice and cozy. That's how they should be, right?"
"I would have prefered something bigger actually, but it's not in my price range..." Terra joined Zidane on the couch and flipped through the channels, she stopped at the news to see a news bulletin, the screen read "urgent". "I guess we should see this then..." Terra said."This just in, a mass murderer has escaped from the local prison, he is considered armed and extremely dangerous." Terra just froze up. "Ma-ma-ma-mass murderer!" Terra was easily frightened. From there on in, she KNEW it would be a long night.
Seeing her terror, Zidane grabbed the remote and quickly changed the channel to something less scary. Horror flick, news, news, cartoon! He left it there, then turned to the frightened girl beside him, laying a hand comfortingly on her shoulder. "Terra? It's alright, Terra. The prison isn't close to here, we'll be fine." he said reassuringly. "Even if it was, I'd be on him before he could get you. Trust me."
Terra actually felt better, as she knew that Zidane was no where near as tough as he was claiming. Although she would never laugh about it. "Let's... do some work, Sora isn't going to be here for awhile anyways." Terra motioned to the table as she cooled down...
Zidane nodded, and fished his algebra work out of his bag. "Someone should get Sora a watch." After he said it, Zidane realized that he didn't have one, either. He'd have to do a little 'shopping' over the weekend."Well, what should we start with?" he asked. "I'm almost finished the stuff assigned today."
Terra smiled as she scrambled through her books to find the page that was last assigned. Just as she arrived at the said page, she heard the doorbell ring. "I'll get that" Terra told Zidane as she went to answer the door...
Sora was late, of course, because if it had anything to do with math, it was bound to be directed by Satan. Traffic had been horrible. He was finally at Terra's, however, and hoped that he was only a little late, as opposed to massively. Quickly, he rang the doorbell, hopping from one foot to the other, the Algebra book in his bag taunting him with evil things like factoring and. And. Other things that he mostly didn't understand enough to know the names of.
Terra rushed to the door and opened it to see Sora. 15 minutes late. Being the polite lady she was, she greeted him and showed him to his seat. Acting completely oblivious to his truant manner.
Terra, Sora thought, was an angel. Not even chastising him as he probably deserved. Sheepish, Sora scratched the back of his head as he sunk into a chair. "Eh, sorry about that, you guys. I totally didn't mean to! But the traffic was horrible, and not to mention evil and monstrous!"He looked up, gave them one of his best grins, saying, "Have I mentioned how awesome you guys are lately? Because, you know. Really. You are THE BEST."
"Oh Sora, you really shouldn't flatter me." Zidane said teasingly. "But now that you're here, we can get started, right?" He finished the last question of his homework, then sat back against the couch, and inhaled. Cookies. Terra had made cookies. How did he not notice that when he came in? He exhaled. "Mmm."
Settling further back into his seat, Sora mostly ignored his stomach's warning growl, which alerted him to food within the near perimeter. Winking at Zidane, he said, "But I have to make sure you keep tutoring me, don't I?" He pulled his book out of his bag with a grimace. "And, yeah," he grumbled. "Guess we better."However, his stomach gave one more, particularly loud rumble of want, and he sent beseeching, always-hungry eyes at Terra, his gracious, wondrous host. "And. Um. I think I'm with Zidane, Terra. Mmmm."
